Halyard Educational Partners

Leveraging learnings, and expertise

The Monument Challenge:

What do you do when you're a private equity firm who has made several acquisitions in the online learning space, yet you lack a formal HR department? And, now that you've made these initial acquisitions, your next big step is making the right strategic hires to help realize the potential synergies of the newly combined companies? You've made a significant investment, there's a lot at stake... how do you do it? Simple. You call us.

“Typically, when we make a strategic acquisition, we have the need to add staff quickly. Monument was able to fill our openings across the country with the right people in compressed time frames - and at a cost within our budget constraints.”

Steve Isaac
CEO, Halyard Educational Partners

The Monument Solution:

Monument was asked to take over recruitment for the new entities with a clear imperative to manage costs while finding high-quality candidates who could fulfill the Halyard's business objectives. At the same time, the firm wanted a clearer understanding of how recruitment and staffing could play a key role in their overall acquisition plans.

Our initiative started with an in-depth strategic planning session to define the scope of Halyard's recruitment needs and to find the most effective way to match our resources with their needs. From this problem-solving session, we were able to develop a comprehensive and highly detailed recruitment plan. As a part of this plan, we designed a recruitment process flow map, implementation procedures and an internal communication plan to ensure all the various moving parts of these new companies' recruitment effort worked together seamlessly.

The Monument Delivery:

Thanks to this careful planning, we were able to execute the recruitment plan flawlessly. Implementing the new processes, our recruitment team was able to support all geographic locations across the country, increasing overall staffing by nearly 50% in just six months. We were able to accomplish this impressive feat at costs 75% below traditional hiring models. And with Monument helping the organization realize its organic growth plans, the executive team was able to complete two additional acquisitions in the educational space. We've been asked to handle recruitment for them, too.
