Position Summary

Monument Consulting is seeking a Business Development Associate to support a senior member of our sales team and client-relationships in their designated region. He/she will mine for new opportunities, as well as assist in maintaining relationships with channel partners to identify areas of potential growth. The Business Development Associate will report to a Director of Business Development and support them with the sales cycle.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Source, qualify, and support sales cycles of prospective new Monument clients
  • Network and build relationships with channel partners to mine for quality leads
  • Pursue leads through cold calling campaigns to generate business
  • Draft and coordinate responses for Requests for Proposal (RFP)
  • Support with scheduling and consolidating information for sales presentations that Directors will deliver to stakeholders and C-Suite executives

Desired Skills and Experience

  • 5 to 10 years of total experience with 1-2 years’ relevant work experience in Sales or similar field preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Experience prospecting preferred
  • Organization and Time Management skills
  • Detail oriented and excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, etc…) and CRM tools
